About kunci

kunci's Story

Celebrating 22 years, kunci began in 2003 with a chance encounter with crochet artisans in a small village in Bali.

In the village’s peaceful atmosphere, mothers would gather under the eaves of their homes, crocheting bags and hats, while their children played nearby. Inspired by the warmth of the people and the serene rice fields, we began creating pieces that reflect the gentle rhythm of everyday life.

Each item is carefully finished and quality-checked at our atelier in Ubud, ensuring durability and long-lasting beauty.

But our journey doesn’t end with crochet.

Meeting Bali’s talented artisans has opened doors to new creative possibilities. When we commissioned silver accessories incorporating crochet motifs, we were captivated by the delicate artistry of the silversmiths. This led to the birth of kunci’s jewelry collection—unique, handcrafted pieces that blend tradition with contemporary elegance.

Today, kunci can be found in select hotels and boutiques across Bali.

At the heart of our craft lies a deep respect for the artisans’ skills and a commitment to designs that highlight their beauty and craftsmanship.

"Beauty is Simplicity"

We hope our creations quietly enhance your inner beauty and individuality.
